14. Yummy
15. In the Air
16. Reserved
17. Knobby

18. Pose

This weeks words. (Sometimes, the single word prompt doesn’t really match the photo. It could be because the email the expands the idea is what gets my thinking cap running, or it could be that I was totally flummoxed and just took a photo I Iiked!)

20140112-DSCN08511520788_10203496292791921_695336466_n12. Footprints–Prompt was Footprints. But the daily email expanded that to leading lines. I drive by this stream every day, and almost every day, I think, “Oh, that looks nice, I should stop and take a photo.” Thought the same thing today, passed on, thought again about leading lines, and turned around! And then, a few days later, look! Leading Lines AND footprints on our deck from surprise snow! (Bonus!)

1601193_10203487682416667_1795742908_n14. Yummy Prompt today-Yummy. This is my rice pudding. It’s not the best photo, and the pudding is OK, but the memory… As a teen, I used to babysit for Danny and Emmanuel. Around the holidays, their mother Pilar made her special Puerto Rican rice pudding. Danny and Manny would come across the street to my house to bring me a doubled paper plate full of warm, freshly made rice pudding. I always looked forward to that pudding! YUMMY!
1528745_10203494547708295_664062272_n15. In the Air—prompt- In the air …. The full moon is in the air so the lunatics are in the store so the wine is required afterwards.
1545018_10203500739503086_1575422417_n16. Reserved—Prompt was Reserved. I went a different way, thinking about how the garden in summer is a riot of color, but the winter garden? Totally not RESERVED, but a wild bit of texture and form. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
1554425_10203507335307977_1829259489_n17. Knobby–Texture…. Pattern…Color….Scale. One of the UFO’s I will work on at retreat next weekend!
2014-01-1818. Pose—Prompt was pose, but I hadn’t checked my email this morning to get it. On the way into the kitchen tonight to get ready for dinner, I spotted this scene in Arlie’s bedroom….

20140105-IMG_78655. With a Fork … so… how about, Put a Fork in me, I’m DONE!
IMG_79136. Unique (Macro Monday) –I need to DUST!
2014-01-077. Todays prompt was Natural Treasure. Something nice and outdoorsy. Except outside today wasn’t exciting. Frigid yes but no precipitation no interesting bits. And too cold to explore. However it’s only a week into the new year and Neko hasn’t given up his new years resolution to exercise more. So Neko on the elliptical it is!
2014-01-088. Blue— Such a gorgeous sky won out over the Peyton Manning jersey I was working on
2014-01-099. Where You Stand… But I sat for a long time in dentist chair today, so… Part one of root canal is done. Pain meds taken. Let’s see how much Xmas tree gets packed before I get lost in a Percocet haze.
2014-01-1010. Today’s prompt was doorway. And if you know me, doors are a favorite image of mine. But cold, wet, rainy, dark after work…the laptop is a doorway of sorts, to a whole other world. (Bonus Neko)

20140111-IMG_795311. In Good Hands—didn’t pan out, but This foggy morning could be for Natural Treasures!

Photos–Week ending 1/4/14 CY365

I am just about to round out my full year of photos for this challenge; I started late in January 2013, although I had done the photo a day thing before.  I did take off most of December 2013, at least as far as having a new photo each day, because I did my annual Christmas Photo a Day on this blog (look through the archives!)

This first full week has a few bonus shots from the days immediately following Christmas. I have encouraged a number of my FB friends to attempt this with me this year!

IMG_606926.  One of the things about my job that I love the most is that I can participate in peoples lives; help them grieve or celebrate.

IMG_607027. Worn  This Christmas decoration is 23 years old, squished, bent…and LOVED.

IMG_61981. Celebrate—Well, I don’t do much on NYE, and I usually WORK on New Years Day, and this year was no exception. But I do think I am going to be entertained by my daughters new calendar!
IMG_6214 2. Goals- Made it to 80! Happy birthday to my mother-in-law (on the 4th but we celebrated early)
