9. A Little Heart–Super four way selfie! And look, a little heart, for the prompt!
10. It’s Still Winter—(so we can still snuggle on the couch under blankets and nap the day away.) Except Neko. Bolt is his favorite movie.
11. Retail Therapy—Grocery store display today. It’s not summer yet??
12. Red–Snow day. (Well, day off with Rain currently but…)

14. Amore—Valentines Day was a full moon, and it rose early and orange. I only had my pocket camera at work with me…
15. Geared Up, Prepared. …I’m ready now to put this over 14 year old quilt back together ( I was a pretty sloppy piece back in the day!! Ugh. Removed the outer border. Need to put back on, press and mail to get it quilted)

Kind of went my own way this week….
3. Soft — During the Olympics I usually find a hand work project. This year it’s un-quilting this double bed sized quilt that I started in 2000. I had started hand quilting it but plan to have it machine quilted (AKA, FINISHED)

7. Old School– See this ring? It was given to me by my great aunt when I was 10 against my grandmother’s better judgment. I lost it when I was 13. I found it two years later in the pocket of the jacket I had taken it off to wash dishes. Now it only comes off if I am having surgery. So I’ve had it almost 40 years since the last time I lost it. The foot ring does not come off either. That’s from my dad. I was maybe 14? I should say that the turquoise ring was purchased by my grandmother in California in 1927 and given to my great aunt as a gift.

The scent of smelly socks is hard to resist…

Panera for dinner… this caught my eye… may have to manipulate language to make it fit heartwarming (but settled on something else for that, so here are these pretty colored bowls)

All food should be played with. Stalked, attacked, spied on and batted about. Only after serious hunting and proof of superior skill should a worthy opponent be devoured. Neko spends a lot of time chasing pieces of kibble after he liberates them from the food bowl.

This weeks words. (Sometimes, the single word prompt doesn’t really match the photo. It could be because the email the expands the idea is what gets my thinking cap running, or it could be that I was totally flummoxed and just took a photo I Iiked!)

12. Footprints–Prompt was Footprints. But the daily email expanded that to leading lines. I drive by this stream every day, and almost every day, I think, “Oh, that looks nice, I should stop and take a photo.” Thought the same thing today, passed on, thought again about leading lines, and turned around! And then, a few days later, look! Leading Lines AND footprints on our deck from surprise snow! (Bonus!)
13. An Encouraging Word Prompt was Words….
14. Yummy Prompt today-Yummy. This is my rice pudding. It’s not the best photo, and the pudding is OK, but the memory… As a teen, I used to babysit for Danny and Emmanuel. Around the holidays, their mother Pilar made her special Puerto Rican rice pudding. Danny and Manny would come across the street to my house to bring me a doubled paper plate full of warm, freshly made rice pudding. I always looked forward to that pudding! YUMMY!
15. In the Air—prompt- In the air …. The full moon is in the air so the lunatics are in the store so the wine is required afterwards.
16. Reserved—Prompt was Reserved. I went a different way, thinking about how the garden in summer is a riot of color, but the winter garden? Totally not RESERVED, but a wild bit of texture and form. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
17. Knobby–Texture…. Pattern…Color….Scale. One of the UFO’s I will work on at retreat next weekend!
18. Pose—Prompt was pose, but I hadn’t checked my email this morning to get it. On the way into the kitchen tonight to get ready for dinner, I spotted this scene in Arlie’s bedroom….
