Happy birthday, hunny!
There is nothing as precious as reading to your grandchild.
Do you recall being read to as a child? I do. I can feel Daddy Gus’s lap, and the warmth of his arms around me as we sat in the chair in the living room. I don’t recall the book (although my favorite book as a very young child was Pickles the Fire Cat)… but I can remember the feeling of love.
