My most treasured Christmas ornament. This was always on my grandmother’s tree (minus it’s protective enclosure) We helped to decorate every year, and in our WOW state of new and shiny fantastic-ness provided to us via color TV and advertisements, didn’t care for or appreciate these old things. Indeed, we couldn’t wait for the big, gaudy, thick tinsel garlands and satin balls to replace all those delicate items. And then the boxes wandered into the basement and were destroyed by time and carelessness, before I was old enough to understand.

What is the most interesting or valuable (Red heart value, not monetary) ornament on your tree? Tell us the story about it.

Tuckered out yet? (You still have to WRAP it all, you know!)

Amended post  for yesterday—THIS is what I discovered in the living room after I posted Sunday’s blog.

Decorating with cats. Not decorating WITH cats! Thankfully, Neko has proven to be trustworthy (or at least, graceful and careful) with the tree and decorations. AFTER he decided to settle in for a nap in the box with the nativity, that is. Tatiana is mostly irritated that we get in her way while trying to decorate the tree.
