Happy Solstice everyone!
I stayed up very late to get these images, had to give in by 3:00…my fingers were frozen, the wind was picking up and I was getting into a shutter time of over 30 seconds….
Early on, there was a lot of cloud cover, and a not so dark sky,but by the time the show was really getting pretty, the sky cleared. It was odd, as I was in and out, warming up between shots. I looked out the door, and the sky was suddenly ablaze with stars, and black as coal otherwise.
Good job! I got up to watch…only we had a thick, cloud cover. No moon to be seen, but the world had an ethereal quality from all the light reflected off our snow cover. Brrr. Thanks for sharing, I really wanted to see this one…
